The Cecil Hotel is housed in a traditional building, though has been modernised internally some time ago. The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of the 'Eternal City', only a a few minutes walk to the Spanish Steps, along with many other major city attractions. The guestrooms are generally clean, equipped with standard amenities, and tastefully decorated with a mostly traditional style. The hotel has a guest bar, with a reading room adjacent, ideal for some quiet time after a busy day. A continental buffet breakfast is served in the bright airy breakfast room, while there is a wealth of cafes and restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner. During summer months, guests can enjoy a drink and take in the stunning views of the city from the roof terrace. Overall this is a a good choice for guests who want a functional base to stay, while they can enjoy being in the historic heart of the city.
