Huge palm trees and a grand red carpeted entrance welcome you to the prestigious looking Savoy hotel. The wide marble lobby with high ceilings and ornate chandeliers leads a cosy restaurant/bar. The overall ambience of the property is elegant and classy. The sense of history is enhanced by the fact that Mussolini made his first public speech to the people from the hotel’s balcony.

     This time we felt the hotel was little shabby; no free newspapers at breakfast; no fresh fruit at breakfast....             hotel was fine, ...             No problems ...             Breakfast was sufficient ...             Continental breakfast was good - plenty of choice....             Poor cooked breakfast though - there was only boiled eggs, very greasy bacon, scrambled egg & hot dogs....             the hotel was excellant...             Great breakfast buffet...             The breakfast was poor...             we ate at the roof terrace one evening and it was over priced,...             Excellent!...             hotel was very clean...             to expensive for the facilities...             good hotel...             had an excellent time...             accommodation was clean,...
